Precursor Languages for C

Welcome

This application aims at teaching computational thinking and preparing to learn the language C based on ideas including, but not limited to NIKI and Karel the Robot.

Some Hints...

• First, you can define or load a world in the tab The World Editor
• Then, you can write and compile programs in the Source Code Tab
• You can inspect, write, and modify the resulting machine code in the Machine Code tab
• You can run the robot program in the tab Robot
• The robot tab allows you to steer the robot manually as well

The World

In this tab, you can create a world for your robot or load one of the predefined ones.

Source & Robot

In this tab, you can implement in the various precursor languages. For simplicity, we show the world of the robot as well.

Machine Code & Robot

This tab allows you to inspect and edit the machine code to run on the robot and run the machine code.

Interactive Robot

Steer the robot with two buttons.
